TO ORDER
President Darrell Mayes called the meeting of the Napa/Solano Chapter of ICC to
order.

INTRODUCTIONS
Self introductions were made by attendees. Meeting adjourned for dinner.
APPROVAL
OF THE MINUTES
Motion was made to approve the minutes from the January 28th, 2009, February
meeting as submitted. Seconded and Approved.
SPEAKER
OF THE EVENING
Vickie
Sakamoto spoke at our last meeting representing the California State Fire
Marshall’s Office. Vickie presented on the Photovoltaic Installation
Guidelines recommended by the State Fire Marshal's office. It was recommended
that local jurisdictions formally adopt the installation guidelines if they are
intended to use then with any local changes. A copy of the guidelines can be
printed from the State Fire Marshal's web page titled “Final Draft Solar
Photovoltaic Installation Guidelines”.
ANNOUNCEMENTS
Brian Samuelson announced job opening with the Energy Commission. Descriptions
of openings are on their web site.
CALBO
Leadership & Advocacy Day April 29th 2009.
Grundfos Pumps is having a circulating pump training class in Fresno, CA on April 16th, 2009

Cliché announced upcoming training for the first half of 2009. These topics and
date will be on the web site soon.

Gene
Ashdown: Memberships are still being received. Training classes have added to
the fund balances for the chapter.

2009
ABM in Monterey had a good attendance despite the jurisdictional budget issues.
Tom
Garcia: Swimming pool logos are becoming available for “Drowning Safety”
that your jurisdiction logo can be added to for posting.

CALBO 2011 ABM: Harvey Higgs announced that the CALBO 2011 Northern California
ABM has been awarded to be hosted by the Napa/Solano Chapter of ICC.
Participants will be needed for the planning of events, committees, with
different event options and locations being considered. Requests for financial
participation from other ICC chapters will be sent out as time gets closer to
the planning stages.
NEW
BUSINESS
Tom Garcia made a motion to move the “Inspector Time” toward the beginning
of the meeting to accommodate some of the inspectors who may not want to stay
for the entire time.
INSPECTORS
TIME
Home inspectors are finding a high volume of un-permitted construction work on
properties for sale and in foreclose. Andy House Inspector requested
jurisdictions to work with them to get new property owners so the violations can
be resolved.
